– 8/2: Homecoming & Blessing of the Backpacks: Celebrating 240 years of worship at Liberty and praying over our students as they begin a new school year. 11:00 AM worship; covered dish to follow.
– 10/24: Mark your calendars for Liberty’s 2nd Annual Harvest Jubilee on Saturday, October 24, from 6:00–9:00 p.m.! Join us for an evening of food, fellowship, live music, games, hayrides, a silent auction, raffle, and more. All proceeds will benefit Neighbors Helping Neighbors, serving families in Greene and Putnam Counties.

Homecoming at Liberty - 8/2/26 - Ephesians 4:15-16
What a wonderful Homecoming Sunday at Liberty! We were blessed with a great crowd, joyful worship, warm fellowship, and a memorable celebration of 240 years of faith, fellowship, and service.
In his message from Ephesians 4:15–16, Pastor Chris reflects on what it means to grow together in Christ, speak the truth in love, and use our gifts to strengthen the whole body of the church. It is a message that honors the faithfulness of those who came before us while reminding us that each generation has a part to play in the life and future of the church.
We invite you to watch and share this special Homecoming message—and to join us any Sunday as Liberty continues growing in faith and serving in love.
SUNDAY SERVICES
Whether you're a long-time Greene County resident or just visiting Lake Oconee for the weekend, join us for Worship at 10:00 AM every Sunday (11:00 AM on Easter and Homecoming). Everyone is welcome, with services open to all ages and a nursery available for children. If you visit on the first Sunday of the month, enjoy our traditional covered dish lunch. Dress is casual, and we look forward to worshiping with you.

Whether you are a long-time resident of Greene County or just visiting Lake Oconee for the weekend we welcome you to join us for Worship service at 10:00 AM every Sunday (except Easter and Homecoming services are at 11 AM). Everyone is welcome. While a nursery is available for children, our services are open and welcoming to all ages.
About Our Church
We are a warm and welcoming congregation of Christians from diverse backgrounds. We grew up in Greene County and we grew up in other parts of the country. We are multi-generational and first timers. We live out in the county and we live on the lake. We go to school, we have active careers and we are retired. Our love of the Lord is our bond and we want you to join us as we grow in that love.
Fellowship, Family, & Worship
The Liberty faithful represent a mutually supportive family atmosphere and one that provides for those in need as well as services for multiple facets of life in Greene County, Georgia, and beyond. Family and community are cornerstones of the culture at Liberty United Methodist. We treat every person who walks through our doors as family. Together we can build a better world through Christ.

Throughout the year we have many events that are both charitable and supportive of our local community including firefighters and emergency responders.
